My ex and I were avid campers and backpackers. We hiked the Boy Scout trail in Joshua Tree once or twice. One of those times, we grabbed our backpacks, filled them with freeze-dried meals, clothes, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, an axe, a water boiler, hydration packs, and a poop shovel, among other things.
